As you may be aware primary care is struggling due to a shortage of GP’s, locum doctors and growing patient needs. Our team are working relentlessly to try to meet demand and provide the best patient care. This is not sustainable long term and we have been looking at ways to address this. As a result, there will be a number of changes taking place in the next few months:
We are moving to a new clinical system. The new system will be in operation from 12th June. Unfortunately, the change in system will mean that there will be limited urgent on the day appointments for weeks beginning 30th May and 5th June.
In addition leading up to this change routine appointments will also be limited, this will be resolved by increased appointment availability from 12th June. We would appreciate your patience with booking routine appointments until the new system is in place.
This system will allow us to significantly reduce waiting times for appointments going forward, but to allow us to do this, there will be some short term disruption. Please be reassured that the care of our patients is our upmost priority.
Thank you for your patience.
