All consultations are by appointment.

To make an appointment you should telephone the surgery on 01752 776650, visit the surgery in person or use The Waiting Room website. We are currently looking to increase the amount of online available appointments. (You will need to have had a Waiting Room account set up for you in surgery)

Appointment with the surgery Doctors, Nurse, Health Care Assistants and Phlebotomists can be made up to 8 weeks in advance. Where possible you will be booked with the health care professional of your choice, however this might not always be guaranteed. Our Health Care professionals see a large number of patients in an average week so please be flexible when booking an appointment.

Should you feel that a 10 minute appointment will not be long enough or you have multiple issues to discuss, please ask to make a double appointment to prevent the Doctors from running behind. Where possible, please tell the receptionist the reason for your Nurse appointments, because different procedures require more time.

Please arrive in good time for your appointment; if you arrive late it may not be possible to see you, as this will be an inconvenience for other patients who have appointments. Please remember if the Doctor or Nurse is running late, this is usually because he/she has been dealing with a difficult problem, or has been called away to an emergency. Please be patient; remember it could be you who needs the extra time.

All patients requesting an appointment will be seen in the surgery unless they have a medical condition that makes it impossible. In these circumstances the patient will be seen at home. Please see the “Home Visits” page for more information.

If you are unable to make your appointment, please ring as soon as possible, preferably giving at least 24 hours notice, so someone else can take advantage of your appointment slot.

Sometimes the receptionists are able to deal with your queries for you, so do not hesitate to ask them for help or information.

Should you need an examination during an appointment or procedure, you are entitled to have a chaperone present to make you feel at ease and ensure the Doctor or Nurse is doing their job correctly. The health care professional should ask you if you would like one before examining you, but do not hesitate to ask for one should you need it. All staff are chaperone trained and are happy to stay with you during your examination.
